Unmanned and On Guard: How Drones Are Strengthening PH Maritime Security


The Philippines is expanding its use of unmanned systems as part of efforts to improve surveillance, maritime awareness, and security in the West Philippine Sea. Defense officials highlight drones as cost-efficient tools that provide faster, more precise monitoring across air, land, and sea.


The Armed Forces of the Philippines is also enhancing coordination with international partners through a newly activated strategic command, aimed at improving joint exercises, information-sharing, and overall interoperability.
